SATNA

Satna, nestled in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, enjoys strategic geographical significance. It lies on the junction of the Vindhyachal and Satpura ranges, enhancing its natural beauty and tourism potential.

The district is well-connected via rail, with major routes like the Mumbai-Howrah line passing through Satna Junction, a vital railway hub. Additionally, a network of national highways, including NH-7 and NH-75, and state highways ensures seamless connectivity to neighboring regions. The Satna Airport facilitates air travel, bolstering the district's accessibility.

Industrial development in Satna is robust, with thriving cement, steel, and power sectors driving economic growth. Agriculture forms the backbone of the local economy, with fertile lands yielding abundant crops, prominently including wheat, rice, and tomatoes.

Satna's selection of tomatoes as its One District One Product is strategic, given the region's conducive climate and soil conditions for tomato cultivation. This choice not only leverages Satna's agricultural strengths but also capitalizes on the growing demand for high-quality tomatoes in domestic and international markets.

One District One Product, Satna

Tomatoes are grown in abundance both in the summer and winter seasons in India. The crop grown in the winter is of superior quality because they contain more total solids. The tomato paste retains all of the flavour, sweetness, and nutrients in the fresh fruits. The tomato processing industry in India is equipped with state of the art manufacturing facilities and advanced technology.
