Activities under One District One Product initiative, Sheopur Madhya Pradesh

Sheopur's guava industry is blossoming, thanks to the strategic initiatives under the One District One Product initiative.

With a steady rise in guava production year on year, Sheopur is emerging as a key supplier to various mandis across India. This increase in production reflects the concerted efforts of local farmers and authorities to harness the region's agricultural potential.

Recognizing the economic significance of guava cultivation, the district collector has urged the NRLM Departmental heads to establish agroprocessing units specifically targeting guava and pumpkin petha. This move aims to add value to the local produce and create additional avenues for income generation.

Covering approximately 1441 hectares of land, guava cultivation in Sheopur is not just about quantity but also quality. With a focus on sustainable practices and innovation, Sheopur's guava industry is poised for further growth and prosperity, contributing to the district's overall development and recognition on the national agricultural stage.
